Our love of golf began at an early age.

Only one of us made the green, so as Jim stepped off the tee box, he flashed us a grin and said, “I’m taking my glove off.” It wasn’t just about making a par—it was a reminder that he was in control, maybe even eyeing that birdie. That simple line became a running joke at the club, something we all used to needle each other, whether we were in a serious match or just out for fun.
